ERIE 2-8-2 #3040  Contributor's Pick!       
Another example of an Erie Mikado built by Alco-Schenectady in 1912. Specifics - N1 class, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, 60,928 lb tracuive effort, 328,600 lb engine weight. Nearly all of the class was scrapped between 1947-51. No photographer was listed.
