Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-8-2 Class O-1-A 4960 at Mendota, Illinois on March 20, 1966, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The tower was known as the IC tower, controlling the crossing of the CB&Q with the Illinois Central and Milwaukee Road.

Andre Wehrle	General	Real shame 4960 did not stay in the Midwest operating in preservation. Sister 4978 is now on display in Mendota, and seems to be kept in decent cosmetic condition last I saw.	3/18/2022 9:48:39 PM
