Originally built for the Philadelphia & Reading Railway as a baggage car, it was later used on the relief train based out of Saint Clair yard as a tool car for workers. Acquired in 1963 by Rail Tours Inc., it was one of the earliest cars purchased by the excursion company and served at both locations of York and Jim Thorpe. A common sight for visitors at the former CNJ Jim Thorpe yard for many years, it was trucked out and is now preserved by the RCT&HS as one of the oldest RDG cars in existance today. |
