| Looking railroad "east" along the former Milwaukee Road right of way in Ripon. Covered hoppers are often set here for trans-loading from truck via conveyor. This area was once the center of Milwaukee Road activity in Ripon. The depot was located in a position that would have appeared between the cars and the grade crossing signals, which would be between Fenton S.. and East Fond du Lac St.To the right of the cars there was a nice sized elevator for grain. There was also a fair amount of other sidings and business served by rail here in years past. |
