Built in 1950 by AC&F in Lot #3125 as GN 9 seat lunch counter-12 seat diner-20 seat parlor observation (round end) #1147 RED RIVER for the St. Paul-Grand Forks train of the same name. In 1953, the number of parlor seats was reduced by 4, and in 1963 the #1147 was rebuilt to a 68 seat coach with the round end removed. In 1970, the #1147 was repainted to Cascade Green as BN #6800. Sold to Amtrak in 1971, the #6800 was not repainted to Phase I until circa 1974. Retired in 1977 and sold in 1978 to the Southern California Passenger Corporation in Santa Barbara. Resold in 1980 to Great Western Tours as GWT #568 and repainted in 1984 to SP DAYLIGHT colors for use in the consist of SP #4449's WORLD'S FAIR DAYLIGHT to New Orleans. In April 1986, the car was acquired by the Pacific Northwest Chapter NRHS as PNWC #6800. The recently-applied reporting mark appears to be AARX (Association of American RRs), not AERX, which belongs to American Energy Resources Generating Company (coal hoppers)
