This was the last CB&Q steam fan trip, from Chicago to Denrock and return. The train was wyed in Denrock and returned to Chicago, and the steam powered fan trip era ended. I counted all my CB&Q 4960 fan trip slides and I shot 267 slides, plus a few dozen more photos in black and white. You won't see all 267 images. Many of the images were sequence shots of photo runbys. Some images only show a plume of smoke and tracks. |
