Class 33/1's main shere of work was operating London to Weymouth trains over non-elecrified rails from Bournemouth Central to Weymouth and also hauling the Weymouth Boat Trains. The Boat rain was hauled from London throughout, whereas the 12 car emu sets on the Weymouth services, dropped the 4 car powered emu set at Bournemouth and the 8 car hauled set was taken forward by the Class 33/1. These trains were propelled back to Bournemouth by the 33/1 and re-attached to the 4 car powered set. |
