The LIRR ran most of its trains with a single unit as they were not heavy enough to need more than that. Some of the Montauk trains were exceptions, such as this weekend only 4012. The Sunday train was sometimes 14 or 15 cars, since it was used to return parlors to the east end for the New York bound trains starting in on Sunday afternoon.
