| This was the site of the original town of Detroit and the railroad that served the mills. This line was originally intended to cross Santiam Pass as a transcon from Newport, OR to a meeting with the OR&N in eastern Oregon. It never got farther than Idanha a few miles east of this point. All that is left now is from Toledo, OR to Mill City, OR. |
