A West Hempstead train rolls through Valley interlocking and into the station. It has come off the branch, which diverges to the left beyond Valley tower, and will connect here with Far Rockaway and Long Beach trains. West Hempstead was a poor stepchild on the west end, seeing only token service-about every two hours on weekends. |
