| CN local crosses the Fox River via former C&NW bridge in the Flats at Appleton, WI on 27 Jul. '15. It looks like a solitary railroad bridge from a distance, but there are actually two bridges a few feet apart. The second, nearer, one is the former MILW bridge, now sans rails. Part of the Oneida Skyline Bridge helps to frame the scene. Local was headed back to the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction after servicing eastern Appleton, Kimberly and Combined Locks. |
