This is a Steam Generater car. The friends of (SP)4449 own a similar car. I'm not sure of their history.

The correct reporting mark for this car is "NRE" for Northwestern Railway Equipment... NREX is for National Railway Equipment, the locomotive rebuilder and genset locomotives.

The 4449 car owned by Doyle McCormack is DLMX #8645 LITTLE BOY, built in 1928 by St. Louis as GN #1, also sold in 1968 to WP as #591.
