Big crowd  Contributor's Pick!
The Maple Festival always drew a big crowd, many more people that the small town was normally able to accommodate. The train was a good way for people to come down from Cortland, as parking was at a premium. The Cortland County Sheriff even had deputies out to direct traffic, as we see here by the station. Note the heavy coats. The temperature was only in the 30's, not uncommon for that time of year. At least the sun was out. Some years it snowed.
