| This style was a one of the kind experimental of the Fifth paint sytle. After this was painted in either late August or early September 1989, they decided to paint the hand rails gray instead of yellow and the top of the nose blue instead of gray. CSX rebuilt SD40 8420 is the only engine that ever recieved this experimental paint. |
