Originally built by Baldwin in 1924 for the Washington, Brandywine & Point Lookout RR, it served the railroad for about 15 years before being sold to the Hoosac Tunnel & Wilmington RR in August of 1938. It worked the 25 miles between the Hoosac Tunnel in Massachusetts and Wilmington, Vermont, until being retired and scrapped in 1949.
