| With Mid Michigan GP9 #24 down for the count, Chicago Fort Wayne & Eastern GP38-2 #3885 was brought over from the Michigan Shore RR to fill in for and possibly replace the old #24. While it's interesting to see new power on the Grand Rapids Eastern, I still loath the blah Railtex era red and gray this engine wears. Still, the red does make this engine "pop", as seen here leading three cars west across the (frozen) Grand River on the north side of Grand Rapids. |
