MofW Equipment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad Maintenance-of-Way Equipment in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 15 July 1961. Shown here are two tank cars (carrying water) and PRR Motor Car #7715. These would follow the Fairmont" flame thrower" (pictured at left), and a railroader would spray water on any weeds that were still burning. This photo was taken at the intersection of Allegheny, Bedford, Blair, Broad, Newry, and Wall Streets ~ across the tracks from the Passenger Station. |
