| Burlington Northern Railroad 968109 at Galesburg, Illinois on an unknown day in November 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This was the former CB&Q 4704, named SLIVER GLOW, built by Budd on Job 96109, ordered in September 1939, delivered in March 1940. It was a 52 seat coach, known to some as a pre-war coach for the truck cut outs. All CB&Q Budd Zephyr passenger equipment delivered after the war had continuous bottom skirts that partially covered the trucks. |
