Montandon. Here is an original photo that I took near Glen Iron, Pennsylvania, on Friday, 22 July 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9113, a BS-6A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in August of 1948, rated at 660 horsepower, and retired in May of 1966 after just 18 years of revenue service. In this context, it's pulling a mixed-cargo local freight train westward on the railroad line between Milesburg and Montandon. |
