| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (F to R) is PRR engine #7059 and another unit whose number is not visible. Both were built by EMD. #7059 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound coal train and are about to pass under the 12th Street Bridge. Note that the eastbound coal train pulled by PRR engine #9530 has stopped on the far left track. |
