| A distant shot of the Empire Builder approaching at the 79 mph speed limit through Newport, MN. This scene is almost unrecognizable today as the railroad is in a trench through this area now with Hwy 61 parrallel overhead and all the xings on overpasses. I am standing close to where the tower was that protected movement to the Rock Island RR and the crossovers. |
