Westward View, 1965
Spruce Creek. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here is a topside view of the State Route 45 tunnel under the railroad tracks. The painted sign on the concrete indicates: 214/85. The yellow house across the tracks sits on Station Lane, perhaps where the PRR Station once stood. This is a westward-facing view of the 3-track mainline heading to Altoona and Pittsburgh. The other way, the tracks head to Huntingdon, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia.

Kevin Squire General Since the line between Pgh and Philly is 353 miles, and Altoona yard is at MP234, I think that bridge would be marked 214 (The Twin Tunnels are between MP213 and 214) 2/3/2022 1:53:26 PM
