You can easily see the distance between the engineer and the fireman at the back of the camelback loco. Note on back "C.N.J. 162 east with #722 nearing Westfield, NJ. 10/14/47". Specs - L5Ds class, 69" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 20x28" cylinders, engine weight of 201,500 lb, tractive effort of 28,974 lb. The 111 camelbacks in the class were rebuilt and superheated by CNJ during the years with a variety of upgrades to several components. Some lasted in mixed service into the 1950's. Robert P.
