Tom Beckett	General	So many of the stations and facilities are now gone, it's hard to venture a good guess on location. If it's Missouri, I'm voting for Springfield, which was a crossroads on the Frisco. I doubt this was taken as late as 1975. I'm not sure of the last date Frisco ran passenger trains, but these units surely did not make it into the Amtrak era. I'm guessing mid to late 60's on the date. Just a shot in the dark. Nice to see them, though. Frisco had some classy looking E's. This one still has the name of the race horse below the cab window, a nice touch.	9/1/2016 3:16:16 AM

SLSF E8A #2012 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Definitely showing heavy use, this 1950 EMD unit appears to be approaching the end of the Frisco years. No date, location or photographer was listed other than the slide colmes from the Houser collection. This could be 1975 or later. Sad end for a once beautiful loco.
