| E&M. Here is an original photo that I took at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Juniata E&M Shop Yard in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 10 August 1963. Visible in the foreground is the trusty E&M turntable ~ witness to steam and Diesels alike. Beyond the turntable are the eastern side of the E&M Shop, some of the tracks from the Shop to the turntable, as well as eight locomotives built by several different manufacturers ~ including Baldwin, EMD, ALCo, and BLH. (Sorry for the bars . . . there's no way to capture a side view of the turntable without including the bars.) |
