PRR 8797, ES-15M, 1965
Oil Power. Here is an original photo that I took while riding a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train near Downingtown, Pennsylvania, during August of 1965, Shown here is PRR engine #8797, an ES-15M built by EMD in January of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. It's pulling a westbound "wide-load" special in electrified territory.

Rick Erben General I wonder if the location might not be near Middletown?, i.e. the wide load going with the current of traffic on the Columbia Branch? 9/16/2016 1:07:28 AM
