Narvik is the third-largest town and municipality in Nordland county, Norway by population. Narvik is one of the most northerly towns in the world. The port of Narvik is ice-free and well protected from the weather. The port consists of three waterfront sections: LKAB bulk port, central port area with piers and deep-water harbor at Fagernes with intermodal facilities. Just left of the IORE a passenger car, called "Donnerbüchse/thunder cabin" which has been built by the German Railway (DRG) between 1927 and 1931. It came during WW II to Norway. The coach has been part of the snow removing train.
