| Northbound Coal. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Philip R. Hastings that was taken in Elmira, New York, on 5 May 1957. Prominent here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3437 and the tender of engine #4632. #3437 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8SB during January of 1913, rebuilt as an H-9S in August of 1923, and retired in December of 1957. #4632 is an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S in October of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in January of 1931, and retired in January of 1960. The "Consolidated" is towing the disabled "Decapod" to the roundhouse for repairs. Partially visible between the steamer and the hopper is PRR engine #8629, an AS-18M built by the American Locomotive Company in 1957 and rated at 1,800 horsepower.
