Goodbye Maine Eastern!
Maine Eastern locomotives 764 (GP9) and 3573 (M420) slowly pass the Amtrak station in Brunswick ME on a cold afternoon. Two CMQ B23-7's (out of photo behind me) were delivered by Pan Am the night before and are waiting to be brought to Rockland at some point and will now be operating on what will be CMQ Rockland Branch as of 1/1/2016. These two units were parked on the interchange track near Church Rd. awaiting Pan Am pick up, and I believe will be joining the FL9's and coaches, plow, caboose, etc. on parent railroad Morristown & Erie in New Jersey. Sad to see this railroad go! I have definitely enjoyed railfanning it in the almost 9 years I have lived in Maine!
