I wonder what the history on this unit is. The paint scheme looks remarkably like the one on the EL U34CH's when they were delivered in 1971, and which was later adopted for part of the late 70's/early 80's by NJDOT and then NJT, before the "disco" scheme was applied. At least a few switchers, mostly in Hoboken, got this paint job.
