Winter Night. Here is an original time-exposure telephoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during February of 1966. Shown here is the head locomotive of a mixed-cargo freight train as it's passing under the 24th Street Bridge on its way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. (The purple blurs are the result of strobe light reflected from nearby snow flurries.) |
