LV Flint Hill & Gulf Rds. - 3 of 5
Made it. This is the Gulf Rd. crossing. LV typically ran their U-boats and late model geeps in three unit sets, and their older geeps and Alcos in 3 or 4 unit sets. Six units is unusual, so it appears the Alco trio had an issue (probably 413) and the GEs were sent on a rescue mission.

Tom Beckett General It's also possible it was a power balancing move. Since the eastern roads all had a tendency to have more tonnage eastbound than west, it's not out of the question that they needed the extra power in Buffalo, but didn't have the cars to run it in a revenue move, so it got tacked onto the power for this train. But then, anything is possible. 10/24/2016 2:07:50 AM
