A power set comes out of the yard with a cut of cars to roll south. Its train is waiting on the main. The two SD 35's were common"on road freights at this time, along with either an SD 40 or 45. Most of the trains I saw that day had some combinatfon of SD 35's, 40's, and 45's, typically in three unit sets, almost all of them running mong hood forward which was standard Southern practice. |
