GN GP9's #721 and #692, plus 2 more Geeps, bring a westbound manifest (with 3 reefers and a single piggyback up front) down the west side of Stevens Pass past the depot at Skykomish. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate Ektachrome 35mm slide. Date and photographer are unknown.

Mike Woodruff General Date is probably somewhere in the 1962-64 time frame. GN 721 was built 4/57 but she looks far from new here. The wires are gone, and there are no second-generation units in the consist (GN's GP30s began arriving in 1963, U25Bs in 1964). 6/13/2022 12:34:16 PM
