| BNSF 7164 - BNSF 5057 DPU at the rear of a northbound line of covered hoppers as the sun crests the hill behind us... that glowing orange-yellow thing that makes the day seem warmer than it really is - especially as we had doubts about the existence of that thing called sun - although wed heard rumors for the past month or so, but to actually observe it first hand was rather remarkable. (I believe the steam is from our local propane/natural gas electricity generating plant on Lower River Road - turns out, we cant get everything from the dams and hydroelectric, but not for lack of trying... at least when theres not discussion about breaching the dams so the fish can migrate easier.) |
