For the life of the NASA space shuttle program, sections of the solid fuel booster rockets moved from Corinne, Utah to the Kennedy Space Center via the UP, MP, KCS, SBD/CSX and FEC. CSXT 600513 was one of about two dozen 16-wheel cars built by Maxon for the railroads along the route. This car was photographed in the Kansas City Southern's WEST YARD, just outside of New Orleans. |
