Another view of this ex-RPO car, possibly KCS origin, now serving as the Mary & Harolk Yost Gift Shop at the Belton, Grandview & Kansas City RR. For a much more detailed history, please read James Hozmeier's detailed and interesting comment below.

That car has quite a history behind it. It was originally WAB 367, a baggage-express car built by ACF in 1926. This car and sister car No. 345 were chosen to be Wabash's baggage-car contribution to the new "City of St. Louis" train in 1946 and as such, both B-E cars were outfitted with roller bearing trucks so they could travel on the UP west of Kansas City and out to the West Coast. It was first painted into the UP "Lark" paint scheme, then into the UP yellow/gray paint scheme. No. 345 also survives and was just repainted into Wabash colors; it resides at the RR Museum in Savannah, GA.
