Here is page four of a five-page camera study by David Plowden entitled "Number 5244: The Pennsy's Last Actbve Steamer." It was published originally in the December 1959 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 16. Photo Caption: "Leaving Fort Dix, U.S. Army post, the train runs occasionally to Davis, the end of railroad operation but not end of track." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5244, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during Fbbruary of 1916 and retired in July of 1959 after 43 years of faithful service.
