Photo Caption: "Belle of the Sixties. PRR's Norris-built 85 poses for her photo at Anderson's Siding, on the Pennsylvania Central, a water stop before the days of track pans." Shown here is PRR engine #85, a 4-4-0 "American" built by the Norris Locomotive Works during 1854, rebuilt in Altoona in December of 1865, and retired by November of 1874. It was named "Nescopeck." |
