MoW Equipment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad rolling stock in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 03 July 1965. Shown here is PRR #492006. It was built as a wooden X-23 box car during September of 1913; it was converted into an NX-23 "War Emergency Cabin Car" during World War I; in later years, it was relegated to Maintenance-of-Way service ~ but now it's on its way to be scrapped at the PRR's Reclamation Plant in Frankstown. Photo taken near the Yard Master's Office, at the very eastern end of South Juniata Street. |
