BNSF 4500
A southbound BNSF frac sand train heads out onto the Metropolis Bridge over the Ohio River. The bridge was built by the CB&Q between 1914 and 1917, and was designed by Ralph Modjeski, the same engineer who designed the Thebes Bridge, Hanrahan Bridge and Government Bridge, all important rail crossings of the Mississippi River. The Metropolis Bridge also includes the longest pin connected simple through truss span in the world at 708 feet. I am assuming it ds the furthest span from the camera in this photo.
