| With high hopes of catching the Vermont Rail Systems Green Mountain Railroad Trains #263 or #264, the return job from Bellows Falls to Rutland, I was highly disappointed when neither train ran due to major maintenance of way work on the line. As I was just about to give up for the day, the Rutland Dispatcher called GMRC Train #550, which had been laying ballast near Ludlow, to give the crew clearance to return to North Clarendon and the Rutland Yard Limits. Train #550 is seen here approaching Barkers Crossing on Wintookit Lane after crossing North Shrewsbury Road in North Clarendon, VT en route back to the Rutland Yard Limits with Vermont Railway GP38-3 #206 leading and GATX Corporation GP38-2 #2208 trailing as power. |
