GTW 4-6-2 #5627 - Grand Trunk Western  Contributor's Pick!       
Nice action shot of a passenger train stopped at the massive Durand, MI, train station headed up by the 1924 Alco built 4-6-2 Pacific #5627. Specs - class K-4-a, 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine weight of 285,500 lb, tractive effort of 40,753 lb. The entire class of K-4 Pacifics were retired in 1960-61. R.E.
