Built in 1923 by Pullman for the Pennsylvania Railroad, this car was originally named the Maple Shade. It was rebuilt into six double bedrooms, a buffet, and a lounge by Pullman in 1934 and given its present name, though it was then assigned to the New York Central. Trains it operated on include the Broadway Limited, the Spirit of St. Louis, the Lake Shore Limited, the Commodore Vanderbilt, the Cleveland Limited, the Knickerbocker, the Montrealer, and the Washingtonian.
