Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Office Car 68 at Lincoln, Nebraska on an unknown day in April 1968, duplicate slide by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 68 was built as a wood car by Pullman in 1897 as CB&Q 369, named "Maiden Rock" as a chair car for Chicago - Twin Cities service. After being renumbered 4151 in 1904, it was steel-sheathed and converted to office bar 68 at Aurora, Illinois in April 1917, and assigned to the Traffic Department. It was sold to Herb Stern of Lincoln, Nebraska in 1963. It was sold again in 1987 to Al Dunton and Chuck Weart, and moved to the Great Western Railway in Loveland, Colorado for serwice. |
