Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class FM-14B 93745 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in November 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, "CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment", by Michael J. Spoor: The last group of flatcars built by the Burlington were identical to the FM-14A's built in 1957. Classified as FM-14B and numbered 93650 - 93749, these 100 cars were built at Havelock ( CB&Q shops in Nebraska ) in December 1968 and January 1969 and all were painted in the pre-merger cascade green paint scheme. Like the cars built in 1957, the FM-14B's had a floor length of 53' 6", a floor width of 10' 6", and a 50 ton capacity. |
