Southern Railway NW2 1055 was moving around in the railroad's OLIVER YARD in New Orleans. The engine was built in September 1948 as the 2264 for the Southern's CNO&TP subsidiary and spent almost all of its life in the New Orleans area. After being retired in 1980 it moved across the Mississippi River where it became Avondale Shipyard 4697. |
