Progressive Rail 36, a Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern veteran, has been back on old home rails for years as motive power on PGR's Dan Patch Line--the former MN&S "Hi Line." Here the engine is north of 86th Street while the crew aboard switches hoppers stored on the spur for the closed mill (?) off 86th. Save for the new name and modern additions, the 36 is a ghost from the MN&S's past. |
