PC Boxcab #4751  Contributor's Pick!
Once a fixture in the Sunnyside Yard of Queens, NY, it appears that it may be in a scrap line now that it has come to Cleveland. Michael A. Tedesco caught this boxcab possibly built by Alco in 1926 looking like a derelict now.

TERRENCE ROBLE General Too bad it was not saved and donated to a museum. 10/13/2017 1:11:06 AM
Tom Beckett General These were fixtures in Sunnyside for many years. My dad rode the Port Washington Branch of the LIRR-we lived in Little Neck after 1964-to work, and did get some photos of them working there. If I recall, PRR classed them as B-3, which was an 0-6-0. Note its number is still in the Pennsy typeface. 10/13/2017 3:25:09 AM
Tim Darnell General I shot it when sitting retired at Sunnyside & have an 8mm movie clip of one working on You Tube. A B-1 is in the RRMofPA 10/13/2017 7:26:07 AM
