YRC 84
A blast from the past, the Ma & Pa heritage unit remains stored on a siding near the York Railway's yard. Wearing one of the Maryland & Pennsylvania's historic paint schemes, the switcher was acquired by MPA in the bicentennial year from original owner Pittsburgh & Lake Erie. Built in 1952, it is one of two locomotives to showcase this look in York County today, the other being MPA 82, another SW-9 preserved at the Ma & Pa Railroad Preservation Society site at Muddy Creek Forks.
